Work04Oberlin CollegeSpring 2024

Social content for admitted students deciding where to enroll.

I helped plan the campaign with Communications colleagues, drafted weekly copy for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, checked details with campus partners, and coordinated review and publication.

The moment

The 2024 campaign paired practical admissions steps with stories about campus life, sustainability, and learning opportunities. It was one of three consecutive enrollment cycles I worked on.

The problem

Campus news needed a different focus for admitted students: what they could do at Oberlin and what they needed to know before making their decision.

What I did

  1. Practical next steps

I helped explain deposits, applicant portals, and upcoming deadlines without burying what students needed to do.

  2. A look at campus life

I adapted campus news, from sustainability to Winter Term, for students considering what they could experience at Oberlin.

  3. Review before publishing

I checked details with campus partners and shared drafts with Communications colleagues before publication.

Why it matters

I wrote for students who already had an offer, focusing on what they needed to know and what they could experience before choosing Oberlin.

Outcome

The campaign delivered weekly social posts for admitted students, combining practical admissions information with examples of campus life through decision day.
